Solve AAP Server Problem Using 3 Exceptional Ways
AAP is short for Administrative Access point. In windows, the AAP server issue appears whenever the user plugs in an unknown Bluetooth device that isn’t recognized by the operating system or the OS doesn’t have compatible drivers for the device to run smoothly without malfunctioning. The windows device manager begins to show the AAP server as the unknown device connected under “Other Devices.” This issue can be resolved through an appropriate driver update.

Administrative Access Point Sever is an example of an Access point server. The job of the access point server is to ensure valid access of the shared communication medium among all the devices connected. However, it is not necessarily true that this issue is caused due to the access point server. Sometimes other devices such as Bluetooth media devices can be misunderstood by the operating system. This happens due to unknown firmware of the connected device. This issue is relatively less problematic than other device issues, as it does not seem to cause any hindrance in the everyday operations of a computer system.
1. Installing or updating drivers
If you recently connected a Bluetooth media device to your system and it is not working well or not working at all, you should try to update the drivers for these devices. Follow the given steps to update the device drivers.
- Right click on start button.
- Select Device Manger from the menu.
- Device Manager Window would open.
- Click on the little monitor icon under the menu bar to scan for hardware changes.
- Look for outdated or unistalled drivers.
- Right click on the ‘Other Devices‘ and click on update/install driver.
- A device driver installer window would open.
- click on ‘ Search Automatically for updated driver software.’
- The process would take some time and would find and install compatible drivers.

2. Disabling unnecessary services
If you connected a multimedia device to your system and showed unknown devices in the Device Manager, your device still works just fine. You could disable some of the Bluetooth services to help eliminate issues like the AAP server from the device manager. Follow these steps device to uncheck the unnecessary Bluetooth services.
- Right click on start menu.
- Click on settings.
- Click on Devices.
- Select Bluetooth & other devices on the left hand side tab.
- click on Devices and printers under the Related Settings.
- A windows with all the connected device would appear.
- Select your device and Right click.
- select properties.
- under the services tab, uncheck the services that are not necessary.
- click on OK.
NOTE – If your system was showing AAP server as an uninstalled device, there are chances that you would find AAP in the services list, make sure you uncheck that to resolve the issue.

3. Re-pairing device
If you have the latest and compatible drivers installed, but your Bluetooth media device still doesn’t seem to work correctly, disconnect the device and try to connect it again. This might help the operating system identify the device accurately and have the device working as intended. Follow the given steps to repair the device and potentially remove the unidentified AAP server from the device manager.
- Right click on start menu.
- Click on settings.
- Click on Devices.
- Select Bluetooth & other devices on the left hand side tab.
- Select your device.
- Click on Remove device.
- Click on Yes.

i have a Dell Latitude 7400 2-1 device running windows 10 1809. as soon as i plugin anything into the the USB a device called AAP Server pops up and under that the USB device i plug in and its not recognised. even a plug n play USB keyboard, any idea what that AAP server thing is?

According to my research, AAP related with Apple Accessory Protocol. Did you using apple USB devices?
We could right click AAP server and choose properties, then go to Driver page to see the details about the driver.
Also we could uninstall the existing USB driver under AAP server and reboot computer to reconnect USB devices to check the issue.

I suspect your computer has remembered your apple devices and will re-load them again when reboot PC after you deleted.
As it is related with Apple device, I would recommend to ask for Apple support for more information. They should be more familiar with their product.
I would not recommend to rebuild system before contact with Apple support as it would cost time to rebuild.

Вобщем, не знаю, есть ли такое. Давно у меня был похожий модуль, соединял им комп и ноут, файлы перекидывал.
Сейчас необходимо к компу подключать Bluetooth акустику. (+aptX)
У меня есть наушники с микрофоном, которые использую с планшетом, на работе их тоже хотел бы использовать с компом.

Но не могу понять, как дела с микрофоном.

конкретно данны чип может тупо не хзаоработать как надо без этого ПО, обычному хватило бы стандартного стека встроенного в windows.
посе установки стека и свистка через меню подключения устроств подтыкаешь гарнитуру и у тебя появляется несколько устройств воспроизведения и записи звука. стерео -для музыки и просто -для Hands free profile

А не подскажет ли кто, какие вообще сейчас BT-адаптеры есть нормальные?
Сколько ни смотрел отзывов в инет-магазинах — все жалуются на кривые драйвера, никакую совместимость, необходимость ставить bluesoleil и прочие извращения.
Или у нас только копеечный мусор с Али перепродают втридорога?
купил bt адаптер buro bu-bt40a. сопряжаю с гарнитурой сони sbh80. увы музыку просто в вк можно слушать, а зато в паре с игрой уже не тянет поток, звук тупо тормозит. короче чушь выходит. не знаю как лечить , расстроился. стоит всего 330, это по скидке купил в ситилинк. обычнное беспонтовое барахло. а отдавать 1000р за хороший передатчик жалко, и не факт , что потянет потоки аудио в высоком битрейде + многопотоковое аудио. Короче, не берите это буро, это отстой. ну не тащат они звуковой поток. по началу справляются и потом затыки, запоздание звука итд

Адаптеру-то что? Знай себе пуляй по радиоканалу, то что драйверами+железом пережалось, из исходного потока (aptx более ресурсоёмкое).
Это я к тому, что «потянуть потоки аудио в высоком битрейте + многопотоковое аудио», как ты выразился, не есть проблема блютус передатчика — всё равно всё перекодируется (на лету) в то, что он может вообще передать (этот может до 352k максимум, по aptx). Проблемы могут быть только с мощностью радиосигнала.
Тоже заказал себе сегодня в ситилинке buro bt40a + жду из китаев orico bta-403. Подключать буду к гарнитуре с aptx, для прослушивания музыки исключительно.

Хочу поделится здесь опытом использования bluetooth usb донгла Orico bta-403.
Небольшое отступление: купил для смартфона стерео-гарнитуру от сони с поддержкой bluetooth 4.0 (чтоб меньше жрало энергии) и c поддержкой кодека AptX (для лучшего звука). Со смартфоном работает прекрасно, но я решил наушники подключить к компу. И тут началось самое интересное.
Из за жадности корпорации Qualcom владеющими правами на технологию Aptx, не все устройства поддерживают данную функцию. Недолгое гугление выдало что есть сторонние производители делающие донглы с поддержкой aptx, но все они в основном сделаны на основе контроллера CSR8510 (CSR — дочерняя фирма Qualcom выпускающая эти чипы).
Ну и после изучения гугла и форумов был выбран ресивера фирмы Orico bta-403.
